Referrals
To book an appointment please contact 0426 191 010 or send us a message.
If you have a referral via Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from your GP or Psychiatrist, entitles you to a rebate from Medicare for up to twenty sessions per year.
The MHCP can be addressed to Jayani Jayatilake or be addressed to ‘Peaceful Mind Counselling’. You will initially need to provide us with both a MHCP and a letter of referral, to enable eligibility for a Medicare rebate. Referrals can be directly faxed to 07 3720 2340.
We also accept referrals from other sources, including:
- Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA)
- National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) if you are plan-managed or self-managed
- Workcover Qld

Cancellation Policy
If you need to reschedule an appointment due to conflicting appointments or illness let us know. If you notify less than 48 hours’ notice, you may have to pay $50 cancellation fee.
If you are cancelling because you are feeling overwhelmed, nervous, or anxious please let us know, give us a chance, don’t give up. You may have past challenging experience, talk to us and let us know.
Please understand that our cancellation policy was developed to minimise potentially negative impact on three people:
- You – your progress in therapy will be delayed
- Your therapist– she planned for your session and arranged their schedule around you
- Another client – there are usually people on the waitlist who are keen to attend if sufficient notice is provided

Fees
$150 for a 50-minute session. (Medicare rebate of $77.80)
For clients with a Healthcare card, you can access fully bulk billed sessions.
Payment is required at the time of your session and can be made via credit card or direct debit. If attending the clinic, an EFTPOS machine is available.
